The coati is a medium-sized mammal only found in North and South America. They are usually 33cm to 60cm lon, and weigh 3kg to 8kg. They are black, brown, gray, white, red, and tan, and have a protective outer fur. Coati's normally live 8 to 15 years, and live in bands of coati's, made up of 10 to 30 individuals. They like to live in forests, grasslands, and deserts, and blend in with their surroundings. Coti's are omnivores, and like to eat fruits, nuts, small mammals, and reptiles. Their main predators are wild cats, birds of prey, and crocodiles.
