The ocelot is medium-sized cat that is native to the jungles of South America and Costa Rica. They are normally 55cm to 100cm, and weigh 11.5kg to 16kg. Their colors are usually tan, yellow, red, grey, and black, and have spots and stripes around their body. Ocelots can live any where from 8 to 12 years, and are a nocturnal species. Ocelots tend to live in tropical jungles, grasslands, and marshes. They are carnivores that like to eat rodents, lizards, and deer. They can run up to 61kph to escape their main predators, jaguars, pumas, and harpy eagles.
