The copperwood tree, also known as the chaca tree is found in the tropical regions of the Americas and in the Caribbean. Its flowers are green and grow in small groups around the tree. The copperwood tree is normally any where from 25 to 40 feet tall. It is thought of as one of the most wind-tolerant trees, and is used as a hurricane-resistant species in south Florida.
